A grant from Making
the Grade has made it possible for Vermont to open its first three
school based health centers in school year 1999/2000. Two more
centers were scheduled to open in the following school year, 2000/01.
The three open centers are located in rural areas, and all have
a primary care provider on site for less than twenty five hours
per week. All of the centers receive at least 75% of their funding
from grant funds and/or Medicaid and SCHIP payments. |
