SCHOOL-BASED
HEALTH CENTERS IN OHIO
|
 |
In school year 1999/2000
Ohio reported 20 school-based health centers, an increase of
ten over a two-year period. Most of the centers (15) were located
in urban areas. That year state funding for centers came to
$75,000 -- all from the Maternal and Child Health Block Grant
or Title V program -- which marked a $40,000 decrease in funding
for centers over two years. Thirteen of the centers were located
in elementary schools, four in high schools, one in a K-12 school,
and two in alternative schools. |
