SCHOOL-BASED
HEALTH CENTERS IN GEORGIA
|
 |
With 12 school-based
health centers reported in school-year 1997/98, the number of centers
in Georgia has held steady since 1995. Most centers (8) are located in
high schools. In 1997 $1 million in Maternal and Child Health Block Grant
funds were directed to centers, all of which came from local spending
decisions. In school year 1995/96 the state reported that centers generated
about $350,000 in fee for service Medicaid patient care revenues; however,
in 1997/98 no figure could be estimated by the state. |
