March 15, 2002 - Satellite Broadcast on Children’s Environmental Health Issues The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced today that a live, two-hour interactive program demonstrating selected online resources on important children’s environmental health issues will be broadcast March 21 beginning at 1:00 p.m. EST. Designed for doctors, nurses, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, epidemiologists, public health educators, counselors, administrators, librarians, or anyone providing environmental health-related services, the program will cover topics including pesticide exposure, environmental triggers of asthma, and lead poisoning prevention funding resources. The broadcast will feature a question-and-answer session in which participants nationwide can interact with the course instructors through toll-free telephone lines.
