February 21, 2002 - Grants Available for Research on Community-Based Prevention

Applications may be submitted by public and private nonprofit organizations or governments and their agencies for $13 million in fiscal 2002 funds for investigator-initiated research on community-based approaches to health promotion and prevention of disease, disability, and injury. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention expects to fund 30 awards averaging $450,000 for the first 12 months of a three-year project period. Deadline for applications is April 30.
