February 13, 2002 - Community Mental Health Services Funds Available

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) today announced the availability of $13 million in fiscal 2001 funds for an expected 13 to 16 cooperative agreements to develop comprehensive community mental health services for children and adolescents with serious emotional disturbance and their families. Eligible to apply for the federal funds are state governments, Indian tribes or tribal organizations, and political subdivisions of states such as cities or counties.
