The Creating Healthy Schools Local Planning and Assessment Grant offers funding to school districts, groups of districts, charter schools, or community partners to expand the number of public schools and preschools that have health and nutrition education, physical education, healthy food in cafeterias and vending machines, opportunities for physical activity and health care services.

Grants range from $15,000 to $750,000 depending on the size of the school district and the extent of its offering of free and reduced price lunches. School districts, groups of districts, and groups of charter schools are encouraged to apply.
