Publications and Resources

For more than a decade, the Center for Health and Health Care in Schools --and its predecessor organization, Making the Grade -- has conducted research, commissioned studies and presented its findings through reports and presentations to the field. This segment of the CHHCS web site brings those documents together for easy retrieval.

Polls and Surveys Included in this section: results from parent and teacher public opinion polls and web-based surveys conducted through the CHHCS on nutrition and physical activity at school, immigrant and refugee children, and cultural competence.

Presentations by CHHCS Staff & Colleagues More than 20 presentations address topics including school-based mental and dental health, childhood obesity, school nursing and school-based health centers. Additional presentations are found in the Immigrant and Refugee Children segment of the web site.

Publications The Center publishes some materials several times a week (news alerts and grant alerts), one weekly (The Weekly Insider), one monthly (Ejournal: Health and Health Care in Schools), and some on an as-needed basis (InFocus, reports from conferences, and papers published in journals that permit free access).
