2010 CDC Guidelines for Flu Vaccinations
Vaccination guidelines for the 2010-2011 flu season were released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on July 29. The guidelines recommend that children ages six months through eight years receive two doses of the 2010-2011 seasonal flu vaccine if they have never been vaccinated for the flu, if their vaccination status is unknown, if they were vaccinated for the first time during the 2009-2010 flu season, and if they only received one dose of the H1N1 vaccine during the 2009-2010 flu season. The CDC recommends all people six months or older receive a seasonal flu vaccine. More information and any additional updates will be posted to the CDC influenza website as flu season approaches.
