The purpose of the funding program is to establish a Prevention Center for Healthy Weight to provide and promote family-centered, community-based coordinated care for children and families aimed at preventing overweight and obesity. The Center will be responsible for planning, implementing, and managing a nationwide healthy weight collaborative. In addition, the Center will be a source of quality information on the prevention and treatment of overweight and obesity.
One award of $5 million is available. Public and private nonprofits are eligible to apply.
