Submitted: 11/17/2008 12:00:00 AM
The California Endowment -- Health Grants for the Underserved (CA)
The California Endowment awards grants to organizations which support their mission to “expand access to affordable, quality health care for underserved individuals and communities, and to promote fundamental improvements in the health status of all Californians.” The Endowment’s work is organized around three goals: (1) access to health; (2) culturally competent health systems; and (3) community health and the elimination of health disparities.
Grant amounts vary. Nonprofit organizations that are tax exempt under Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code and are classified as “not a private foundation” under Section 509(a), independent sponsored projects of a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization, and government and public agencies are eligible to apply.
Deadline: Rolling
Please Note: The Center for Health and Health Care in Schools (CHHCS) does not administer this funding opportunity.
