The Vermont Community Foundation - Community Development Grants (Vermont)

The Vermont Community Foundation is committed to building healthy and vital Vermont communities by offering grants that address basic human needs, sustainable communities, and successful communities. The Basic Human Needs category focuses on youth, elderly, and family services; housing, food and shelter; and health. The Successful Communities category supports civic engagement, diversity and equity, and education. The Sustainable Communities category addresses arts, humanities and cultural heritage; the environment; and economic development.

Award range from $5,000-$10,000. Grant applications will be accepted from organizations that are located in or serve the people of Vermont. Organizations must have 501(c)(3) status or be a public agency or municipality in the state of Vermont. Nonprofit organizations or community groups who do not have 501(c)(3) status may apply for grant awards if another tax-exempt organization acts as a fiscal sponsor.
