The Adolescent Health Working Group has created an Adolescent Provider Toolkit. This Toolkit incorporates adolescent health care best practices and includes resources for providers, parents, and teens.

New Study Finds No Link between Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) Vaccine and Autism
While there have been repeated statements and studies denying any proven link between vaccines and the onset of autism in children, belief in a connection continues to concern parents. The March 2008 decision by a federal court to compensate parents who believed their daughter’s autism was brought on by early childhood vaccinations fueled parental fears and reopened the controversy.
New Resources
The Adolescent Health Working Group’s Adolescent Provider Toolkit is available online and covers topics such as sexual and behavioral health. The Toolkit modules contain screening tools, brief office interventions and counseling guidelines, community resources and referrals, health education materials for teens and their adult caregivers, literature reviews, and internet resources. Many of the Toolkit’s resources have been translated into Spanish, Chinese, and Vietnamese.
The National Association for School Nurse’s manual, Making a Difference for Overweight Children - The School Nurse Role, discusses the School Nurse's role in prevention and management of overweight children from an individual student perspective and system perspective. Manual includes the BMI (Body Mass Index) Wheel.
