New this month at the Center

Caring Across Communities is a grant program that addresses the mental health needs of immigrant and refugee children.  It is funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and managed by the CHHCS.  Due to the overwhelming need described in the proposals, we are inviting all of you who are serving immigrant and refugee students in school-connected mental health programs to be a part of a learning community dedicated to sharing information, tools, training materials and best practices among those working with immigrant and refugee communities. To create this learning community, we need to know more about you.  Please click here to take the survey and provide us with the information that will form the basis of a future electronic learning group.

The Center for Health and Health Care in Schools (CHHCS) has updated its popular fact sheet, Childhood Overweight: What the Research Tells Us. The fact sheet includes findings from articles published through July 2007. To view the latest version, click here.
