Youth Service America and The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, U.S. Department of Justice -- Youth at the Center Grants
Youth Service America and the U.S. Department of Justice’s Youth at the Center Grants help organizations that have had a successful youth engagement experience to replicate effective practices in a broader network or coalition without a youth strategy. Successful applicants in the past have involved youth in addressing issues such as climate change, hunger, disease, nutrition, literacy, disaster relief, poverty, and more.
All grants are for $2,000. Local, state, or national organizations that are part of a national network, organization, or broader coalition of organizations that serve youth ages 5-25 are eligible. Examples include, but are not limited to, food banks, zoos, housing authorities, and other non-profit organizations addressing a social issue. Organizations must be located in the United States.
Deadline: November 30, 2008
Please Note: The Center for Health and Health Care in Schools (CHHCS) does not administer this funding opportunity.
