Youth Suicide Prevention and Early Intervention Grants

The Youth Suicide Prevention and Early Intervention grant program provides funds for developing and implementing statewide and/or tribal youth suicide prevention and early intervention strategies, grounded in public/private collaboration.

Awards up to $480,000 per year, for three years are available and the anticipated number of awards is 32.  States, the District of Columbia, federally recognized Indian tribes and public or private organizations designated to develop or direct the program are eligible to apply.  Programs must involve public/private collaboration among youth-serving institutions and agencies and should include schools, educational institutions, juvenile justice systems, foster care systems, substance abuse and mental health programs, and other child and youth supporting organizations.
