State Farm -- Youth Advisory Board Awards

The State Farm Youth Advisory Board is comprised of 30 youth from around the United States and Canada. The Board is given the responsibility to fund projects based on how well they utilize service-learning to address driver safety, environmental responsibility, financial literacy, access to higher education, and disaster preparedness.

Grants range from $25,000 to $100,000. Applicants should be either an educator who currently teaches in a public K-12, charter, or higher education institution, or a school-based service-learning coordinator whose primary role is to coordinate service-learning projects in a public, charter, or higher education institution. Non-profit organizations with 501 (c)3 status are also eligible if they are able to demonstrate how they plan to actively interact with students in public K-12 schools.

Deadline: October 3, 2008
