Community Capacity Development Office Weed and Seed Communities Competitive Program

The Community Capacity Development Office is seeking applications from organizations that are adopting the Weed and Seed strategy. Weed and Seed aims to prevent, control, and reduce violent crime, criminal drug-related activity, and gang activity in a community-based, comprehensive multi-agency approach.

Applicants may apply for up to $150,000 in Weed and Seed funding over 1 year. Eligible applicants include state, local, or tribal governments, faith-based organizations, or non-profit organizations in communities with a persistent level of serious violent crime.

Deadline: November 10, 2009
