Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Children and Families -- Support Systems for Rural Homeless Youth
The Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Children and Families is accepting applications for projects which influence policies, programs and practices that affect the design and delivery of services to runaway and homeless youth in Transitional Living Programs, as well as to homeless youth aging out of state child welfare systems and into Independent Living Program. Special consideration is given to proposed projects related to increasing access to health care (including mental health care) for runaway youth and homeless youth and increasing access to education for runaway and homeless youth.
Five grants of $1,000,000 will be awarded. Entities eligible to apply for the grants will be the departments and/or agencies that administer independent living programs for youth aging out of foster care (e.g., Human Services and Child Welfare Agencies) in the 50 States, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.
