Striving To Reduce Youth Violence Everywhere (STRYVE)

The STRYVE program seeks to use comprehensive strategies that are based on the best available evidence, to reduce youth violence. The five components of the comprehensive strategy are: 1) developing a violence prevention plan; 2) implementing appropriate programs and practices; 3) tracking and measuring capacity improvement; 4) developing an evaluation plan that measures project implementation; and 5) developing a sustainability plan.
Awards between $210,000-$225,000 are available. Eligible entities include local, city, and county public health departments, or agencies/organizations that are permitted to submit an application on behalf of a state.
Deadline: May 24, 2011 (Letter of Intent)
