The Blue Shield of California Foundation strives to improve the lives of Californians, particularly underserved populations, by making health care more accessible and by ending domestic violence. The Strengthening the Safety Net program aims to improve coordination and integration among health care providers and help them thrive in the face of a struggling economy.
Award amounts vary. Eligible applicants must be nonprofit, tax-exempt organizations with a mission consistent with that of the Blue Shield of California Foundation and must primarily serve Californians.
