Priority areas include urban epicenters and other highly impacted regions, including, but not limited to, New York, New Jersey, Florida, Puerto Rico, California, Michigan, Illinois, Washington, D.C., and the Deep South (Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, and South Carolina). In addition to cash grants, agencies receive support through a number of components, including intensive technical assistance, program evaluation, and community building.
