Texas Department of State Health Services, School Health Program – Competitive Request For Proposals for School Based Health Centers (Texas)
The Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) School Health Program is opening a Competitive Request for Proposals for School Based Health Centers. The funds will go towards starting a school-based health center that delivers primary and preventive health services and related social services to a school-age population on a school campus, or to expand to a new school campus within the school district; or to expand services to existing school-based health centers.

Up to $150,000 is expected to be available to fund one start-up and one expansion contract. Eligible respondents include school districts, charter schools, private schools, local health departments, hospitals, health care systems, universities, and nonprofit organizations. DSHS contractors receiving their final year of funding under the school-based health center grant program are also eligible to apply.
