The purpose of this funding is to improve research and programs aimed at reducing obesity among ethnically diverse adolescents and young adults with disabilities. Proposals can focus on research, training, development, demonstration, dissemination, utilization, or technical assistance. The program must serve the needs of diverse youth and young adults with a disability and focus on obesity and obesity related diseases.
One award of $400,000 is available. Eligible applicants include states, nonprofits and for profits, institutions of higher education, tribes and tribal groups.
