Project Orange Thumb encourages creative expression in gardening by providing grants to efforts geared toward sustainable agriculture, neighborhood beautification, youth development and community involvement.
Ten awards of $5,000 in cash and tools will be given to selected applicants and one additional applicant will receive a complete garden makeover. Nonprofit organizations in the U.S. and Canada that hope to build new garden spaces are eligible to apply.
Deadline: December 5, 2011
