National Youth Leadership Council and State Farm – Project Ignition
State Farm and the National Youth Leadership Council are accepting applications for the Project Ignition grant program. In response to car crashes being the number one killer of teens, Project Ignition uses service-learning to promote safe driving among teens. The Project’s challenge to students in grades 9 through 12 and their teachers and/or advisors is to work together and develop a campaign to address teen driver safety in the community.
The top ten school campaigns will receive $5,000 to cover expenses to attend the National Service-Learning Conference where they will showcase their projects. The campaign selected as the “Best of the Best” will be awarded a $10,000 grant to continue its teen driver safety efforts.
Deadline: June 30, 2009
Please Note: The Center for Health and Health Care in Schools (CHHCS) does not administer this funding opportunity.
