Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine -- Golden Carrot Awards
The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine is accepting nominations for its Golden Carrot Awards program. The purpose of the program is to recognize school food professionals and their programs that offer a diversity of healthy food options to schoolchildren. Awards include a grand prize of $5,000 ($1,500 to the food service professional and $3,500 to the school food program) and up to four $1,000 awards ($500 to the food service professional and $500 to the school food program). Eligible nominees are school food service professionals and their programs. Self-nominations are accepted and encouraged.
