New York Road Runners Foundation -- Mighty Milers Live, Learn, and Play Grants
The New York Road Runners Foundation’s Mighty Milers program gives kids the opportunity and encouragement to get moving, release energy, improve their fitness and health, set and strive for individual goals, and bond with their schoolmates. The Mighty Milers Live, Learn and Play Grant Program seeks to assist schools that share the vision of making running a part of every child’s school day.
An award of $1,000 will be made to one school in each of the 50 states and the District of Columbia. Schools who have been established as a Mighty Milers site are eligible to apply. Schools who do not have a Mighty Milers program in place can submit an application now. Once the final program application has been submitted, a grant application may be completed.
Deadline: February 2, 2009
Please Note: The Center for Health and Health Care in Schools (CHHCS) does not administer this funding opportunity.
