Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention – Mentoring Initiative for Foster Care Youth

The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) is seeking to assist communities in establishing or expanding mentoring and support services for youth in foster care and foster care youth involved in the juvenile justice system. OJJDP invites applications from new or existing mentoring programs that serve foster care youth with proven track records that aim to implement mentoring activities. Particular attention will be given to evidence-based programs or that incorporate best practices based on research in mentoring approaches.

Selected applicants will be awarded up to $500,000 for up to 3 years. Eligible applicants include public agencies (state agencies, units of local government, public universities and colleges, and tribal governments) and private organizations (faith-based and community organizations).
