U.S. Department of Health and Human Services -- Maternal and Child Health Research Grants

The U. S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Maternal and Child Health Research grants support applied research relating to maternal and child health (MCH) services which show promise of substantial contribution to the advancement of the current knowledge pool. Findings of this research should result in health and health services improvements in States and communities. Research proposals should address critical MCH questions such as public health systems and infrastructure, health disparities, quality of care, and promoting the health of MCH populations.

Public or nonprofit institutions of higher learning and public or private nonprofit agencies engaged in research or in programs relating to maternal and child health and/or services for children with special health care needs may apply for grants. Approximately $900,000 will be available to fund approximately 3 grants per year for up to 3 years (the ceiling amount of an individual award is $300,000 per year).

Deadline: August 4, 2008

Please Note: The Center for Health and Health Care in Schools (CHHCS) does not administer this funding opportunity.
