North Carolina Campus Compact -- Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service Challenge Grants
North Carolina Campus Compact’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service Challenge Grants promote the 2009 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service. This Day of Service honors the life of Dr. King. Service projects are selected based on requests of local community agencies or schools, placing priority on projects with the greatest need for completion.
Grants are available for institutions of higher education in states without a Campus Compact state office (Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, Georgia, Idaho, Maryland, Mississippi, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, Virginia and Wyoming). Awards of $1,000 and $2,500 will be made.
Deadline: September 15, 2008
