Corporation for National and Community Service – Learn and Serve America School-Based Grants
The Corporation for National and Community Service requests proposals for Learn and Serve America School-Based grants for Indian tribes and US territories to involve school-aged youth in service-learning projects that meet community needs and support student development. Programs should enhance the infrastructure of schools and communities to support on-going service learning, and expand service learning into new communities.
Three to five grants ranging from $45,000 to $120,000 will be awarded. Indian tribes and US territories are eligible to apply. Programs should promote healthy communities and healthy students by having students engage in service projects that focus on one of the following issue areas: health and wellness; environment; retention of tribal language, history, and culture, community development/economic development, and crime prevention/violence prevention.
