National Institutes of Health - Identifying and Understanding Effective Interventions for Orphans and Vulnerable Children Affected by HIV/AIDS (R01)
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) are offering grants to institutes/organizations that propose to evaluate the effectiveness of programs that give aid and services to orphans and vulnerable children, and to programs that provide prevention measures. The goal of grant candidates should be to more accurately identify orphans and vulnerable children and the effects on children's health, security, and developmental progress toward healthy adulthood.

The NIH and the NICHD are offering a total of two million dollars in grants to up to five recipients. Eligible applicants are government organizations, independent school districts, private, public, and state controlled institutions of higher education, Native American tribal governments and organizations, public/Indian housing authorities, nonprofit organizations with or without 501(c)(3) status, and for profit organizations.
