The Innovative Community Grants Program is accepting application with the intent of funding projects that enhance mental wellness in Placer County, by providing additional support to various groups and natural networks that are already providing assistance in keeping people well and preventing the need for intensive mental health services. The goals of this project include building the capacity of innovative mental health programs, learning how to successfully engage groups not traditionally involved in mental health and increase awareness of mental health issues in the community. Projects may address issues faced by children, transition-age youth and families.

Awards up to $100,000 are available. Eligible entities include for-profit organizations, nonprofit organizations, public agencies, and faith-based organizations.

Deadline: April 21, 2011

Please Note: The Center for Health and Health Care in Schools (CHHCS) does not administer this funding opportunity.
