Healthy People 2020 Action Project

Healthy People 2020 is intended to increase integration among programs and promote the notion that health is not the responsibility of the health sector alone. The purpose of this request for proposal is to allow state, territorial and tribal governments an opportunity to propose innovative health improvement planning projects that emphasize multi-sector collaboration and utilize Healthy People 2020 concepts to improve the health of their communities. Areas of interest include adolescent health, early childhood health and food safety.
Twenty awards of up to $35,000 will be administered. Eligible applicants are limited to state and territorial health departments, federally recognized Indian tribes, tribal organizations, tribal epidemiology centers and urban Indian organizations.
