The Charles Lafitte Foundation supports innovative and effective ways for people to help themselves and others around them lead healthy and satisfying lives. The Foundation’s areas of interests are education, children’s advocacy and medical research. The Foundation prefers to fund projects with distinct goals, a mechanism for follow-up reports, and ideas of long-term sustainability. Examples of past recipients include: Big Brother Big Sister, and the Society for the Prevention of Teen Suicide.

Award amounts vary. Eligible applicants are nonprofit organizations with 501(c)(3) status.
