BlueCross BlueShield of Louisiana ­ Health and Education Grants

BlueCross BlueShield of Louisiana is committed to improving the health and wellness of Louisianians and provides financial support to those efforts
which can positively affect well-being.  Preferred candidates for funding include organizations focused on improving public health; reducing barriers
to care for the uninsured; or conducting research to prevent or cure disease.  Priority will be given to projects that address rural areas,children and those who are at-risk and underserved.

Education-related projects eligible for funding are those focused on increasing health literacy; training of medical professionals; or the education of youth.

Award amounts vary. Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations with 501©(3) status and be located in Louisiana and serve Louisianians.

Deadline:  November 1, 2009
