EnergyNow -- Grants to Combat Childhood Obesity
EnergyNow is accepting applications for grants to combat childhood obesity through results-based, collaborative, doable, sustainable, and effective school-based physical and nutrition education programs.
Award amounts are a package worth more than $12,000, containing: 1) $2,500 to purchase physical education equipment; 2) ten Polar E600 heart rate monitors, assessment technology, and training; 3) training on National Association for Sport and Physical Education standards; and 4) information packets. Eligible applicants are public middle schools in Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia.
