General Mills Foundation -- Celebrating Communities of Color Grants Program (Minneapolis and St. Paul)
The General Mills Foundation is accepting applications for its Celebrating Communities of Color grants program. The purpose of the program is to support projects by organizations located in Minneapolis and St. Paul serving communities of color that are focused on one or more of the following: 1) Social Service – strengthening families and promoting a safe, nurturing environment for children and youth, 2) Youth Nutrition and Fitness – improving nutrition and fitness behaviors, and 3) Education – emphasizing student academic achievement, particularly at the K-12 level. Award amount is $10,000. Eligible applicants are non-profit organizations, health departments, government agencies, schools and school districts, and Native American tribes located in Minneapolis or St. Paul. Deadline: September 1, 2007 Please Note: The Center for Health and Health Care in Schools (CHHCS) does not administer this funding opportunity.
