US Department of Education - Full Service Community Schools Program

The US Department of Education is offering funds for the Full Service Community Schools Program. The funds will support programs to improve the quality of elementary and secondary education at the state and local levels and help all children meet challenging academic content and achievement standards. The Full Service Community Schools Program encourages coordination of education, developmental, family, health, and other services.

Ten new awards of up to $500,000 each will be awarded nationally. Eligible applicants include a consortium of a local educational agency and one or more community-based organizations, nonprofit organizations, or other public or private entities.

Deadline: June 23, 2010 (Notice of intent to apply)
