Fellowship for Black Male Achievement

The purpose of this funding opportunity is to improve the life of black men and boys in the U.S. by supporting social entrepreneurs who are starting up new and innovative organizations in the field of black male achievement. This fellowship grant includes start-up capital and technical assistance over 18 months to help new leaders launch and build their organizations, among other types of assistance.

Eligible applicants must be 18 years of age or older and dedicate at least 35 hours per week to the organizations; the organization must be the original idea of the applicant and must be in a start-up phase; and organizations may be for-profit or nonprofit. Partnerships of two individuals are also eligible to apply.

Deadline: January 9, 2012
