FY 2011 Minority Youth Tobacco Elimination Project (MYTEP)

The purpose of this funding opportunity is to promote smoking cessation and prevention among racial and ethnic minority youth and young adults between the ages of 11-18 and 19-26, and young women ages 13-26. Funding will be administered to conduct evidence-based smoking prevention and cessation strategies in one or more of the above listed target groups, and one award will be administered to a grantee in order to establish and lead the MYTEP Project Support and Evaluation Center.
Awards of between $175,000 and $250,000 will be available. Eligible entities must be nonprofit organizations, tobacco health coalitions, or academic institution with at least three years of experience.
