First 5 San Bernardino - Emerging Needs Grant Program (San Bernardino, CA
First 5 San Bernardino announces the Emerging Needs 2009 Request for Proposals. The program will award funds up to $100,000 for creative proposals that address and meet the needs of San Bernardino children up to five years old and their families. The purpose of First 5 San Bernardino is to ensure that local communities are engaged and empowered to support the healthy development of young children; preparing children to succeed in school; and ensuring families are safe and healthy.
This opportunity is open to all nonprofit organizations and government entities in San Bernardino county and awards are available for up to $100,000. To be eligible, applicants must be a government agency or non-profit organization, have the administrative and fiscal ability to manage the proposed project, operate services on a fee-for-services basis and have the ability to maintain records, meet statistical reporting requirements, have at last two years experience related to the proposed project and have exiting operations located in San Bernardino county.
