National Institutes of Health -- Early Identification and Treatment of Mental Disorders in Children and Adolescents (R01)

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is accepting applications for its Early Identification and Treatment of Mental Disorders in Children and Adolescents (R01) grant program. The purpose of the program is to support the development and validation of early intervention and treatment of mental disorders and their associated functional impairment in children and adolescents, such as through: 1) investigating the impact of school health on outcomes in youth; 2) addressing how contextual factors in schools relate to outcomes.

Award amounts vary; budgets must follow the NIH (R01) grant mechanism. Eligible applicants include, but are not limited to the following: public/state controlled or private institution of higher education, nonprofit organizations, small business, for-profit organizations (other than small business), state government, historically black colleges and universities, Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian serving institutions, and faith-based or community based organizations.

Deadline: October 5, 2007 (Cycle III)
