Youth Service America – UnitedHealth HEROES Grants
Youth Service America is accepting applications for the UnitedHealth HEROES Grants to provide support for service-learning projects that focus on childhood obesity and engage youth ages 5-25 in the planning and implementation process. In particular, Youth Service America is seeking applications from service-learning projects that combine teaching and learning with meaningful service to the community with school-based curriculum or program-based learning.
Selected applicants will receive up to $1,000 in support for their service learning projects. Eligible applicants include educators, service-learning coordinators, and students in the health professions. States eligible for this year’s UnitedHealth HEROES program include: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nevada, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.
