The Morris & Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation is dedicated to improving communities in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. This foundation is offering grants for programs for improving the community in areas such as adoption services, civic engagement, family support services, foster care and child welfare, youth development, early childhood education, english as a second language, mental health, nutrition, public health, and volunteerism.
Award amounts vary. Eligible applicants are 501(c)(3) 509(a)1 or 509(a)(2) nonprofit organizations that serve residents in the District of Columbia, Prince George's and Montgomery Counties in Maryland, Arlington and Fairfax Counties, and the cities of Alexandria and Falls Church in Virginia.
