MetLife Foundation -- Community-Police Partnership Awards Program

The MetLife Foundation and the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) have partnered to recognize, sustain and share the work of innovative partnerships between community groups and police to promote neighborhood safety and revitalization. Through this awards program, MetLife Foundation and LISC identify and honor partnerships that exhibit tangible accomplishments in their efforts to advance the process, outcome, and/or evaluation of potent police-community collaborations. Programs funded in 2008 focused on gang prevention & youth safety, neighborhood revitalization, and diversity, inclusion and integration.

Award amounts vary. Eligible applicants must be member organizations of partnerships that include, but need not be limited to, community organizations and police.

Deadline: February 27, 2009

Please Note: The Center for Health and Health Care in Schools (CHHCS) does not administer this funding opportunity.
