Environmental Protection Agency -- Clean School Bus Funding Assistance
The Environmental Protection Agency is accepting applications for funding assistance to support Clean School Bus programs decreasing school bus diesel emissions through eliminating unnecessary idling, upgrading buses with better emission-control techniques, fueling buses with cleaner fuels, or by replacing the oldest buses with new, less-polluting buses.
Award amounts vary. Eligible applicants include regional, State, local, tribal agencies or port authorities, nonprofit entities, school districts, municipalities, metropolitan planning organizations, cities, or counties with jurisdiction over pollution reduction, educational services for fleet owners and operators, or promotion of transportation or air quality.
