U.S. Department of Justice - Child Protection in Tribal Communities
The U.S. Department of Justice invites proposals for programs that expand resources that serve tribal communities and protect children within those communities.  Programs should aim to decrease the risk of victimization and exploitation in tribal communities.  Successful applicants must assess tribal needs, develop plans, and implement and monitor activities in multiple communities.  Proposals must demonstrate cultural competency and evidence of the knowledge and understanding of the community’s needs and complexity of tribal culture and justice systems.

One grant of up to $850,000 will be awarded.  Eligible organizations include state, local, and tribal governments; public and private higher education institutions; public housing authorities; and nonprofits.
