California Department of Education -- Twenty-first Century High School After-School Safety and Enrichment for Teens Program (CA)
The California Department of Education’s 21st Century High School After-School Safety and Enrichment for Teens Program provides incentives for establishing before- and after-school enrichment programs that partner schools and communities to provide academic support; safe, constructive alternatives for high school students; and assistance in passing the California High School Exit Exam. Programs may operate after school only, or after school and any combination of before school, weekends, summer, intersession, and vacation.
A total of $20,000,000 is available, with awards of $50,000 to $250,000 per site. Eligible applicants must be located in California and include school districts, county offices of education, and direct-funded charter schools, community-based organizations, cities, counties, public or private entities (including faith-based organizations or private schools), or a consortium of two or more such organizations or agencies.
